I have had the pleasure to teach my jewellery & design skills to some very talented people over the years. Many of them are now selling their jewellery and some are teaching themselves.

I feel very proud of all of my stydents, everybody works within their own limits, some have had previous experience in other art forms, some have never done anything creative at all! But because PMC is such a forgiving medium, making beautiful silver jewellery is something anybody can do.

Here's what some of my previous students said...

Denette's work

"Thanks for a fantastic day Maggie.  It was certainly the right decision to do the basic skills in PMC class as a 'one on one'.  Not only did I have you and your wealth of knowledge to myself for the day, I also came home with a wonderful collection of beautiful pieces.

We covered so much ground in just the one day.  I'm looking very forward to my next 'one on one' .... Very soon.  "

I booked my first ever PMC course with Maggie in February 2009 and I was so excited.  After scouring the internet for such a long time to find someone that I thought could introduce me to the wonderful world of PMC  I found Maggie from Silver Clay Art.

I live in Melbourne and no matter how many other websites and instructors I found closer to home  I kept on going back to Maggie and I am so grateful that I decided to send that initial email to introduce myself and book my first PMC course.

Just through Maggie's initial emails I knew I had made the right choice.  Living in Melbourne and having to travel to the Gold Coast for the course, Maggie was kind enough to allow me to not only do the Beginners course but also gave me the option of doing the Intermediate and Advanced course on a one to one basis while I was there so that I wouldn't have to travel backwards and forwards.

From the first moment I met Maggie in person I knew that not only was it going to be a great learning experience, but also a fun one as well.  I have since that first day done many  one on one courses with Maggie and will continue to do so.
Her knowledge and professionalism is truly unbelievable.  The way she explains everything and guides you through the procedures step by step can only come from the true professional,  experienced teacher and very talented artist that she is.

From that initial PMC course I did in February 2009, I have since opened my own studio in Horsham, Victoria and have never looked back.  I teach PMC now, all thanks to Maggie, but I will always be her student.  My learning with Maggie is not finished and my one on one courses with Maggie will continue for a very long time yet.

After booking a PMC course with Maggie, I was very excited.  Then even more excited when Maggie phoned to tell me that
the other people who had booked the course with me unfortuantely couldn't make it.  I had 2 options, 1. Rebook for another day.
2. Have a 1 on 1 with Maggie Bergman for a whole day.  Obviously I chose the 1 on 1.  What an amazing day I had, I wasn't
really sure how I would go, but after a few minutes of meeting Maggie, I knew my day was going to be great, and it was.

Maggie's knowledge and the way she explains her expertise to you made it so easy. I'm sure being her only student for a day was
much more beneficial to me than being in a group.  I made numerous pieces, but in particular  2 pairs of earing, 1 pair I wore out
that evening and had so many comments, after telling one lady that I made them myself, she quickly put an order in for a pair.
I can't wait to get started at home.

I loved it so much, that I will be back for more of Maggie's knowledge again and again.
